About Me

I'm a mama of 4 though this isn't a "mom blog," technically speaking, it is because it's a blog and I'm a mother. I'm also a wife, writer and horrible housewife.
I've been a resident of Tacoma and surrounding areas since I was just a glimmer. Having recently “retired” from many years as a slinger of the booze (though I use "retire" loosely as I keep going back for my fix of the serverlife) I am now self employed as a regular contributor to the Weekly Volcano, and have had work published in City Arts Magazine, South Sound Talk, Post Defiance and South Sound Magazine. I considers myself a fervent creative community enthusiast and strive through various projects to foster the positive growth of the Tacoma community. Having always been an avid supporter of the arts as a spectator and consumer, one day it finally occurred to me that the largest impact could be made as an active participant which helped me snag an internship with City Arts Magazine. After moving up the ranks to freelance contributor every project since then has been with a Tacomacentric mentality. Other creative/community endeavors include  Tacoma ART BUS/Duchess of Downtown Tours, Wrist Magazine, Art on the Ave and non-profits Peace Out and Puyallup Main Street Association.
My main project (baby) is literary website, Creative Colloquy. This bookish adventure boasts a print publication, audio collection and well attended monthly readings that encourage a gathering of local literary scribes to celebrate the written word and connections with those of like minds.
